A community show of gratitude

Team members took a break to enjoy food donated by First Bank Financial.

“Your donation and appreciation brought smiles to my team and added an energy burst to our day and work week,” said Joseph Schneider, Manager of Environmental Services at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton.

Joseph and his team recently enjoyed a gift of food donated by First Bank Financial. It’s just one example of the many local businesses that have given donations of supplies, meals and funds as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact our communities.

“Seeing the support we are receiving from the community during this challenging time is overwhelming and heartwarming,” added Brooke Moersfelder, RD, Manager of Food and Nutrition Services.

Guy & O’Neill donated $22,000 worth of cleaning wipes to keep patients and team members safe.

“I know firsthand what a wonderful resource Aurora Medical Center in Grafton is to the community,” CEO and President Tom Misgen shared. “That’s why, when this pandemic hit, we knew we needed to do something.”

Tom isn’t surprised by the outpouring of community support. He knows how talented and compassionate Aurora’s team members are because his wife and daughter both work there.

“It takes grit, gratitude, and grace to be able to do these jobs,” Tom said. “These brave people go to work every day knowing they’re going to treat people who are positive and give them care.”
