Last year, Advocate Health Care and Aurora Health Care joined together to create Advocate Aurora Health, the 10th largest not-for-profit health system in the country. Your generosity will continue to make health care more accessible and compassionate for each person we serve. Here, we’re sharing stories about people, just like you, who are making a difference.
Donors through the Advocate Aurora Give Well Campaign are making college more affordable for five students in the greater Green Bay area. Scholarships were awarded to the students who are all planning a career in the health care. Members of the Greater Green Bay Philanthropy Committee and Aurora Health Care Foundation chose the awardees earlier this year.
“Our awardees were culled from nearly 150 applications. We accepted applications from high school seniors, as well as students already pursuing their interest in the medical profession,” shared Grace Meyer, manager of patient access, Aurora BayCare Medical Center. “As with any scholarship program, we believe it’s important to help those who will eventually be taking care of us. The future of our world is in their hands.
The $1,000 scholarships were awarded to students based upon their exemplary service to the community, commitment to serving others, and their high academic achievements. Congrats to these incredible students on a well-deserved honor! And thank you to the team members of Aurora BayCare Medical Center for giving back to their community and supporting the caregivers of tomorrow.
