New and renovated sections of Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital recently opened their doors to dignitaries and an admiring public.

On Thursday, May 12, a special VIP reception was held in the Paul and Barbara Hills Center for Advance Care to thank those who have been pivotal to the project. Good Shepherd president Karen Lambert welcomed honored guests and Advocate Health Care CEO Jim Skogsbergh delivered congratulatory words. Receiving special honors and thanks were Paul and Barbara Hills, whose personal generosity and dedicated leadership of the “Look Forward” campaign helped make the project possible. After the reception, guests toured the newly dedicated facility.

Then, on Saturday, May 14, Barrington’s “hospital of the future” opened its doors again to welcome hundreds of curious community members for an official ribbon cutting. Visitors were impressed with the comfort of the new private rooms, the innovative technology of the breast center, and the convenient access to inpatient and outpatient care. Star 105.5 provided live interviews and on-site entertainment.
