Advocate BroMenn Medical Center
The history of Advocate BroMenn Medical Center dates back nearly 120 years. Five generous, local physicians pooled their resources to open McLean County’s first hospital, and area businesses, leaders and residents followed their lead. Through the years, community members maintained that commitment—investing to support the growth of hospital facilities and programs.
Today BroMenn Medical Center is one of the most advanced acute care facilities in Central Illinois.
Generous donors have helped the hospital fund construction and renovation projects, acquire advanced technology, create innovative programs and win national awards. Now, in an era of declining reimbursements and increasing health needs, charitable gifts are more important than ever in ensuring local access to the very best care.
Your gift will support the advancement of the Neurosciences service line. BroMenn is accredited as a Primary Stroke Center, providing superior care and better outcomes to patients with stroke symptoms. It also offers around-the-clock neurosurgery and is the only hospital in the area with neurotrauma services and an acute rehabilitation unit that will be renovated in 2017.
The Palliative Care Program provides expert pain and symptom management for end-of-life patients. Specially trained nurses help create customized treatment plans—which may include an increase in pain medication, massage and Reiki therapy, or a bedside manicure. Philanthropy helps cover the costs of training nurses, as well as many of the resources needed to deliver comfort care.
BroMenn Medical Center is the only area health care provider of behavioral/psychiatric inpatient services and an inpatient addiction recovery program. The hospital is renovating and expanding its Mental Health Unit to care for more patients in a safe and comfortable environment. Your gift will help with the upgrade and provide ongoing support.
The President’s Fund provides critical resources to address immediate needs and to support new programs that enhance the quality of care and patient experience. Gifts to this fund allow the flexibility to respond quickly to important new requests and ideas as they arise.
The Advocate BroMenn Service Auxiliary has been an integral part of this community for nearly 90 years. The mission of the Service Auxiliary is to support the hospital by working with staff to raise funds for capital equipment purchases, increase public awareness, and assist with special projects and programs. Your gift to the Service Auxiliary will be used to fund specific enhancements for the Thrift Shop, support programs that retain BroMenn Medical Center physicians, bring speakers to the community, and much more.
