Help Us Celebrate!
Advocate Medical Group’s Adult Down Syndrome Center located at Lutheran General Hospital is celebrating 25 years of service in 2017! The Center was established on January 17, 1992, in an effort to better support and enhance the well-being of adolescents and adults with Down syndrome. When the Center first opened, it was a twice-a-month clinic housed in one of the hospital’s medical buildings. Over the past 25 years, the Center has grown into a primary care practice with more than 7,500 patient visits annually and is housed in a new 6,500 square-foot facility expressly designed for patients with Down syndrome. The Center is nationally recognized for their team approach that provides comprehensive, holistic, community-based health care services.
It is through the help and partnerships of families, community members, businesses and advocacy groups that we have been able to expand services, develop new programs, provide community outreach and conduct research. Thank you to our many supporters and we are so excited to celebrate this milestone with you!
